THE CHURCH OF GOD OF THE FIRSTBORN
JESUS SAVES       JESUS HEALS

Life of Christ

And
behold I send the promise of my Father upon you, but tarry ye
in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on
high.

And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his
hands and blessed them.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from
them, and carried up into heaven.

And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great
joy.

And were continually in the temple praising and blessing God.

Here Jesus opens the understanding of the disciples saying to
them, that they must first preach repentance for remission of sins
in his name, saying unto the people except ye repent ye shall all
likewise perish, and that ye must be born again.

Luke 13-3. I tell you nay, but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish.

John 3-3-5. Jesus Answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom
of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, how can a man be born when he is old,
can a man enter the second time into his mothers womb, and be
born.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee except a man be
born of the water, and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the
kingdom of God.

How shall we be born of the water, and of the spirit, by confessing
our sins on our knees to the Lord.

1 John 1-9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Praying until we have the witness in our spirit that the Lord has
pardoned our sins.

Romans 8-16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that
we are the children of God.

Now that we are saved we must ask the Lord to sanctify us,
throughly cleansing us, that we may be a clean vessel, and meet for
the masters use, and ready for the Holy Ghost.

1st Thessalonians 4-3. For this is the will of God, even your
sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.

Hebrews 13-12. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the
people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

John 17-19. And for their sakes, I sanctify myself that they also
might be sanctified through the truth.

Hebrews 10-10. By the which will we are sanctified through the
offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

After we are saved and sanctified, we must seek the Lord for the
promise of the Father, as Jesus told his disciples to tarry in the
upper room until they be endued from on high, with power, which is
the baptism of the Holy Ghost, seeking until you speak with
tongues, and magnify God, tongues is not the Holy Ghost, but is
evidence of the Holy Ghost, anyone claiming the Holy Ghost, and
have never spoke with tongues, and magnified God are deceived,
and without Bible proof.

Acts 10-44-46. While Peter yet spake these words the Holy Ghost
fell on all them which heard the word.

And they of the circumcision which believed, were astonished, as
many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles, also was
poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then
answered Peter,

When the Holy Ghost comes in, you will speak in an unknown
tongue, otherwise you have not received the Holy Ghost, the fruit
of the spirit is not enough, be not deceived God is not mocked.

Acts 1-1-7. The former treatise have I made O The-oph'i-lus, of all
that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the
Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he
had chosen:

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many
infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the
things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

And being assembled together with them that they should not
depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father,
which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with
the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him,
saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom of
God to Israel?

And he said unto them. It is not for you to know the times or the
seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

God willing, continued next month.

Our Mission on Earth

To promote the gospel of Jesus Christ and fulfill the will of God.  It is God's
will that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.  We must
preach the truth teaching everyone how to live a clean and holy life!  It is
God's will that no one should perish but that all men come to repentance.
Mankind needs a great salvation.  Lets pray for our enemies and do good to
all men, especially unto those who are of the household of faith.  Let us fulfill
the wonderful works of Christ and God's will.  John 15:16
"Ye have not
chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you that ye should go
and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:  that
whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."

Let God find us so working.

"For this is the love of God that we keep his
commandments..."-1st John 5:3

If a person loves Jesus, they will keep what Jesus tells them to do.  Jesus
said that his sheep hear his voice and that they will follow his voice.  Let
us live a life with a forgiving heart, dedicated to God's love, with our
beliefs in action.  James challenged us all in James 2:18
"Yea, a man
may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without
thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works."
 Shall we not
answer that challenge and become what God wants us to be "His
peculiar people, his holy ones"?  I say that the Word of God encourages
us to be so.  Praise God and bless his holy name!

Why we use the Authorized King James Version Bible

Extensive research supports that the KJV Bible is the
purest form of "The Word of God" when compared to
the original Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic and Latin
manuscripts. 2nd Peter 1:20
Knowing this first, that
no prophecy of the scripture is of any private
interpretation.
2nd Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came
not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God
spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that
heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any
man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto
him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from
the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take
away his part out of the book of life, and out of the
holy city, and from the things which are written in this
book.
Therefore, we believe that NO man has the
authority to re-write what God delivered in old time.
